Actualization, Maybe EP was written over the summer of 2022 by Liara. It draws heavily from the themes of magic, nature, technology, and the mind.

On the A Side, Call of the Sidhe starts the EP with a groove and funk that immediately makes you want to move, along with some fun little synth bleeps to call out those things that live in another realm and look to whisk us away.

The second track, For Forests, is a bit more muted and asks the listener to imagine what it would be like to be a network of trees who just had their roots connected via a mycelium network.

The B side takes a darker turn, away from nature and into the artificial. Transhuman Artificialization Ritual asks the question, what happens when you replace all of nature with machine?

The final track, Periodic Neurosis, answers this question by showing the listener an anxiety that comes from embracing too much tech.

Liara Kaylee Tsai is DJ and producer who taps into the divine through her use of hypnotic acid electro and techno sounds. Her sets are an expression of her magic, weaving spells to show those who listen the sacred. To be on the dance floor during a performance is to surrender and become one with nothing and everything simultaneously. It is her hope that she can show those who are willing to pierce the veil and recognize their own divinity and power. She is currently based in Iowa City, but travels throughout the Midwest to conduct sonic pilgrimages. Occasionally her fox spirit Kitsy, who she hosts and shares a corporeal form with, shares the stage with her.

Liara Kaylee Tsai (Previous stage name: Vutall) started in Tucson Arizona with the J.A.M. family. In 2016 she moved to Madison, WI and founded Frequency Underground. In 2019 she moved to New York and focused on her production, then Iowa City and performed with the organization femmedecks between 2021-2023 and now lives in Minneapolis.

Her sound is best described as scifi acid electro.
